CLIENT: Brussel Sprout

PROJECT COMPLETED BY: Kat Musselwhite (website and content creation) and Chris Bruce (branding and website)

TOOLS: WordPress

From the moment we chose the name Brussel Sprout, we both always had a good idea of what we wanted the brand to be:

  1. We knew we wanted a cartoon-style sprout for the icon
  2. We knew that green was going to be our colour palette

From here, it seemed common sense to use transform the “o” of the name into a sprout as well.

ASSETS

Chris created several assets for the business based around the sprout, each to be used in different places across our business, including Social Media, Website Favicon, Website Logo, Website Icons, Social Media Bio Picture, Social Media Slides, Business Cards, and Invoices.

COLOUR PALETTE

Chris initially devised a colour palette based around the colours in the logo he designed. However, he expanded this to include the lightest shade, and the accent colour of Peachy Blush that could be used to complement posts made for social media. Kat generally used the Midnight Sea shade for backgrounds, with either Lime Burst or Peachy Blush for text and accents.

WEBSITE

Kat wanted to create a website that was clean, easy to use and heavily featured Brussels sprout imagery. This includes the sprout being prominent as an icon across the website and images of literal sprouts as background imagery. The idea is quite gimmicky, but we wanted a website that stood out and was memorable, that distinguished our brand from other similar businesses.
