How to Communicate with your Branding Agency

  • by

Effective communication is important to ensure your project runs smoothly, especially when it concerns something that is a huge part of your business, like your branding.

So today we’re going to be talking about some of the best ways to communicate with your branding agency.

Make sure you set down how you are going to communicate with your branding agency, from your first meeting with them.

Maybe that will be over email, Slack or Zoom, whichever fits best with both sides of the project.

Make sure you assign one person as a main point of contact with the agency, with a backup covering time off.

Clearly outline what your goals and objectives are, for both your business as a whole and for your branding.

This will help the agency fully understand your vision and create a brand that aligns with that.

If at any point you feel thatthe agency are drifting away from your vision, be upfront and tell me. This will help them reach the best outcome for you.

Never be afraid to give feedback.

If something isn’t quite working for you, it’s better to speak up as early as possible in the design process.

On the other hand, if something is looking great, also make sure you let them know.

Good feedback helps the agency to refine your branding to create what fits your business.

A good brand agency will have lots of ideas based on their own experience working with and creating brands.

You don’t have to say yes to every suggestion they offer to you, however you should always be open to thinking about them properly, and understanding why the suggestions are being made.

A good brand agency should be establishing this with you pretty quickly, however if they don’t, make sure you create one with them.

A solid timeline that is referred to regularly, helps to keep both you and the branding agency on track, whilst making sure the project finishes on time.
